July 1, 2012 will mark the beginning of a new officer term for four DG vice presidents. NYC DG holds elections every year, but two-year terms alternate so that we never have a year when the entire board is new. Elections for 2012 elections include:
- vp: finance
- vp: Foundation
- vp: communications
- vp: Panhellenic
All are exciting positions and they each have a noticeable impact on NYC DG’s programs. Specific duties of each role are included on this application. The time commitment for each varies based on your projects but generally includes an NYC DG board meeting every other month, attending NYC DG events as available and 2-4 hours of planning/emailing per month.
Applications are due Sunday, March 25, 2012 to Bridgett at president@nycdg.com. Throughout April, a nominating committee (separate from the NYC DG board) will create a slate based on the applications received. The general membership will have an opportunity to vote on the slate when it is announced in our May newsletter. June will be a month to train and transition, and the two-year term of service officially begins July 1.
