Special Interest Groups

The New York City Alumnae Chapter offers groups for smaller, more intimate gatherings. Below is a list of special interest groups and their activities. If you would like to start your own group, please contact our vp: programming.

To join the email list for one or more of our special interest groups, you can update your notification settings here.

Each month, sisters pick a book that interests them, and then get together for an evening of laughter, fun, drinks, snacks, and a whole lot more! For further information, please contact the book club director at bookclub@nycdg.com.

Meet, greet, eat and review cuisine in New York City restaurants, both old and new with the dinner club. Contact the dinner club director at dinnerclub@nycdg.com for ideas, suggestions or questions!

“Come on along and listen to… the lullaby of Broadway.” New York City is the theater capital of the world, and there are many opportunities to enjoy shows at reasonable prices. Enjoy theater, a night on the town, and the company of your sisters. Contact the performing arts director at performingarts@nycdg.com with ideas, suggestions or questions.

Come join your sisters for a casual jog or an intense workout.  Routes always have options for an intensity level that fits your needs.  Run, chat and enjoy the outdoors.  The Running Club meets once a month on a Saturday.  Beginners and route requests are welcome!  Contact us at runningclub@nycdg.com.

This group provides a forum for DGs under 30 to go out together and enjoy the city. For recent college and grad school alums who just moved to the area, it’s also a great way to meet other new members. Contact us at youngalums@nycdg.com for more information.

Another way to get involved with the chapter is to join one of our standing committees.  They get together throughout the year as needs arise, and they are a great way to meet other chapter members.  Contact the responsible officer listed below to learn more.
